I think that I would generally agree with that.

Partly, I was trying to make a point (maybe badly) that in a lot of situations, having additional knowledge can change peoples' view on (for example) whether someone's actions were right or wrong; and the superior knowledge possessed by a god would mean its view would be the correct one where human and divine views disagreed.

Also, I suppose if only a single god existed and they were "evil", there is an element of "might makes right" as if this god defined something as good which we knew to be evil, there would be nothing with the power or authority to gainsay it.
