One very common tactic used by people who defend the irrational (in this case creationists) is to present the same arguments used against them against their opponents (in this case science and secularism). It's a bit like psychological projection (ie. blame others of your own faults).
I think this tactic is very well demonstrated in the first 19 minutes of this lecture. You could take that speech almost word-for-word, just swapping a few times some terms around, and it would be a relatively decent lecture on why creationists cannot be convinced of the scientific approach to discerning the truth:
After those 19 minutes it only goes downhill. And I'm not just saying that; I really mean it. Watch it if you want to get amused.
If you don't want to watch the entire 1-hour video, I'll be nice and save you the trouble: His "ultimate proof of creation" is that the universe was created by the biblical God because the Bible says so. And no, I'm not distorting or mocking anything. That is, literally, the entirety of his argument.
