Suggestions Without Edit

Postby ChristOnIce » Wed Jul 26, 2006 8:05 am

I am new to Wiki editing and have a question regarding etiquette.

If I want to suggest a potential change to a page, but don't feel strongly enough to edit that portion of the page, what is the proper method of making the suggestion? I've noticed a "discussion" section on the page that can itself be edited. Would that be the appropriate method?

Thanks

You can use the discussion (talk) page...or you can simply make the change.

I'd recommend just making the change. All changes are tracked and it's easy to roll back to previous versions. Additionally, even if someone doesn't like your change, it may prompt them to see an additional possibility that might have been missed without your input.

But, if you're not comfortable making the changes, I'd definitely suggest using the discussion page.
